Who we are

The Tinting Company fits window film for homes and businesses in the North East of England. For anything about your data, email hello@thetintingcompany.co.uk.

What we collect

When you send a quote request we collect your name, phone number, and anything else you choose to give us: email address, postcode, property type, what you need and details about your windows. We also record which page the form was sent from.

Why we use it

Only to reply to your enquiry, quote for and carry out the work you ask for. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries. We don't sell your details or use them for unrelated marketing.

Who handles it

The quote form is delivered to our inbox by FormSubmit, an email form service, and the website is hosted by Vercel. They process the data only to provide those services.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't go ahead are deleted within 12 months. If we do work for you, we keep job records for as long as we need them for accounts and legal obligations.

Cookies

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics in future, we'll update this page.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
